Still ill and still off work. I do feel better today though, so I'm gonna try to go in to work tomorrow. I've been accussed of skiving, but I don't enjoy the idea of missing out on £100 and because I haven't got my time sheet signed yet, it means I won't get paid for last week until the 9th of October, which is rubbish.
Also, being at home, I've accidently bought some shiny things off the internet. I blame TV for advertising the new X-men film being out on DVD, so I preordered it. Whilst I was there, I also bought V for Vendetta and Underworld Evolution, a couple of films I've wanted for a while now. I was waiting for them to go down even more, but they've been at the same price for some time now, and I do really want them, so I figure it's ok. They were both less than a tenner, and that's the important thing.

disappointed
I shall dive right in to the entire point behind this entry, and actually officially announce that I have dropped out of the Apocalypse Girls project. You'll all find out eventually anyway.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say how sorry I am to everyone who was involved, as I know how much I've let you down. Trust me, if I knew it was going to end up this way, I never would have yes in the first place. It's certainly not a decision I came to easily or one I've taken lightly. Sorry to Spike and Claire who put so much effort in to making this all a reality, Andy for giving up his time to do all the pictures and Julie and Jess, my fellow models.
Spike knows my reasons for the decision, and anyone who cares enough to ask, I'll tell you in person. As I've said, this isn't a decision I came to easily, and I can't deny that I'm not disappointed, cause I am. A lot.

music: Megalomania - Muse
I felt a bit crappy last night, so when
celebrityrobots invited me and David out for a drink, I decided not to go. I thought I felt rubbish cause I hadn't got the interview for the job I wanted. David went out thought, and I sat at home copying music from his computer to mine. I also had a glass of wine. Cause you know, wine is good, and this bottle needed finishing. But by staying in, I was doing the sensible thing.
This morning I woke up and I felt like shit. I didn't really fell hungover or anything (for goodness sake, I'd only had one glass!) but my head really hurt and my stomach felt all bubbly, felt like I was gonna puke everywhere and it was making weird noises. So I phoned in sick. Gay. That's £50 down the drain. So maybe last night was the start of this, and that's why I felt so ick. I don't know. I haven't puked everywhere, but I still feel like I'm going to. Bluergh. Stupid tummy :(
I'd go back to bed, but I want to go to work tomoroow, so I'm maing myself stay awake until at least 9pm tonight. Watched the rest of Fifth Element (I started watching it Sunday) and I think I may watch some more Milla and/or Bruce films to cheer me up.

No kittens died in Saw 2 I'm glad to say. So I'm really confused as to why someone told me that. Meanies. Anyway, the film was pretty good. Quite a few minging bits *freaks out over the bit with all the milions of needles* but actually wasn't as gross as the first one, not as graphic. Also, the plot wasn't quite as good, but I never saw the twist at the end coming, that was awesome. Plus you find out if the guy left in the bathroom lived. Worth a watch I feel.
Sunday night I got hideously drunk on some posh wine David had bought that was on special offer. Since I liked it so much, he went back and bought more bottles. 3 red and 3 white. Lots and lots of wine for me. I'm turning in to a right wine-o.
I'm now up to S on my CD ripping, infact I only have about 6 albums left to copy. Apart from those ones that have gone walkies, and David's CDs that I want to copy. My new MP3 player is cool :)
Finally heard back about the job I applied for. They decided not even give me an interview, bastards. They didn't ask for experince, so I figure it's because I have a degree, and it was aimed at someone who'd only done A-levels or a HNC. My supervisor got an interview though, so I hope he gets it. Still, it turned out the interview was on Wednesday the 20th, when loads of lufbra people (though I'm not sure who) are going to Drayton Manor. Not getting the interview of course means I can now go! So I've booked the day off work. Yey roller coaster fun!
muffinprincess1 are you going? Any other lufbra people who read this going? I can't be arsed to go read the eeejits forum.

music: Are You Alive? - Neuroticfish
Well I've finally got with the times and invested in an MP3 player. I am now currently recording all my CDs on to my computer *sigh* This is exactly why I was insistent on keeping my MD player, as I could record stuff one at a time and things. I dunno, it just seemd much simpler. Unfortunately it's obvious I backed the wrong horse with that one. You can no longer (easily) buy stereo systems with an MD bit, so I have been slowly replacing my Mini Discs over the years with CDs. Thankfully MusicMatch Jukebox (or whatever it's called) is a smart little bastard and knows what (nearly) everything is called. My only complait is it's weird genre selection ofr my music. Oh well. I'm up to KoRn already, so I think it's going alright. Oh, and here's a picture of my pink MP3 player :)

I'm off for my photoshoot next saturday. I'm all excited. I think it's going to be difficult not to bring my entire wardrobe with me though! Oh, it's also Damage and Nightmare next weekend, so it's party time! I still need me a captain's hat though. Miss Monkey, where did you get Spike's from again?
I'm watching Saw 2 tonight. Apparently a kitten dies :s

Saturday morning, David got up bright and early to go rent a van, them him and Rich H went to go get this bunk bed thing we've got for the second bedroom/computer room. It's a single bed on top and a sofa/doble bed on the bottom. It's pretty nifty. I stayed in bed whilst it was assembled. Got up about midday and got my stuff together before heading out to Nottingham for Nightmare.
Got off the train and made my way up the stairs, only to be called "fascist" by 3 little rude girls (as in black girls with the sideways ponytails who are down with the homies from the hood or something) because of my New Rocks. This amused me greatly. Anyway, met
shallowthing who had aquired a Kat along his travels to meet me. Anyway, we headed back to Shallow Towers to dump my stuff off and settled down to watch Born to Fight, a Thaiwanese stunt movie, with no CGI, not wire-fu and definately no stunt doubles. It kicks ass. Went off in to town to get me some sausage and chips, then back to Shallow Towers again where I got ready for Nightmare and off we went.
I had a pretty good time mainly just chatting to people, especially
vampiric_monkey who I've recently discovered grew up in Letchworth, one town over from where I did, and occassionally went to the same club, were both some of the very few people in to rock music in that area, yet still never crossed paths. You'd think we'd be friends of a friend or something, but no. Still, Claire is muchos fun and is someone I'd like to get to know better. Also met some guy called Bob, the Glam Pirate, who is apparently 31. Also nattered away to
the_alleycat about how he got him name and The Aristocats, as well as his soon-to-be-his kitten. Other "mentionables" included
baybee_bat and her friend, whose name I didn't catch,
pai_kitagowa,
notgothdammit (thanks for that great picture of my boobs!) and
squeeface (apologies for not making the after-party, but I tire easily). Thanx to
soldatengrab for getting me that drink, I owe you one, remind me next month! Oh, and sorry to anyone I forgot.
Wow, look at all those tags. I almost feel popular.
Musically though I wasn't overly impressed. I only danced to 2 tracks, tried dancing to a 3rd, but it was a remix, and one with weird beat changes, so felt too much like a penis and gave up. I do have to remind myself though I am new to the scene and really don't know much stuff. Maybe it helped I was a bit drunk last time? I don't know. I just don't think the atmosphere was quite right for me. I will try again next month, especially now I've been paid and have already ordered me some bleepy CDs.
Combichrist - Everybody Hates You
Neuroticfish - Gelb
De/Vision - Subkutan
Zeromancer - Clone Your Lover
Well, that last one doesn't quite count, but I've wanted it for a while. All bought on import from the US and including P&P for a grand total of £28. Not too shabby I feel, especially cause they're not exactly easy to track down outside of the interweb. Go go amazon :)
Sunday - got up about midday, Damian cooked me pizza and we watched Ong Bak. Another Thaiwanese film. The martial arts is awesome, but Tony Jaa is just amazing. Referring to him as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li rolled in to one, doesn't quite do him justice I feel. The storyline isn't so great as Born To Fight, but it's definately worth a watch.
Packed my stuff together and got on a bus back to loughborough. Curry for tea :)
Thanks once again to
shallowthing for putting up with me for nearly 24 hours :)

Well David and I went all the way to northampton on wednesday night, got there about 8pm and then gave Dad his present (he seemed to like it at least) before we went off down to the local pub. Apparently we weren't having a curry and we had a table booked. My mum was all annoyed that we hadn't arrived earlier, but when I seemed all confused as to where we were going, she suddenly remembered she hadn't told me we had a table booked or anything. That woman is so good at telling me stuff. Anyway, I had a rack of ribs, so was very happy. They were cooked well (unlike at Tom's birthday at Hard Rock Cafe) but didn't have as much BBQ sauce as I would have liked. Still it was good and a perfectly pleasant evening. David and I left about 11pm and drove back in a thunderstorm. The lightning made the sky light up an eerie purple colour. It was scary :(
Yesterday spent a lot of time working on my little room, trying to piece everything together. It's Hard work and it's not moving along as quickly as I'd hoped, but I'm getting there, and I have thrown quite a bit of crap away already. Yey!
I therefore couldn't be arsed to cook, so we got chinese, and then some chips from the chip shop, as I'm not a fan or rice. Chip shop chips and chinese food go well together :) I have left overs for lunch, with baked beans, yum.
I'm most annoyed to have discovered (after speaking with
yourapocalypse) that Damage and Nightmare are the same weekend. See, I thought Nightmare was the first saturday of the month, but no, apparently it's the 2nd, it's just last time, cause the month started on a saturday, the second saturday was a week before the second friday. GAY. I was really liking the idea of coming up to notts for two weekends, then not for two, then back for two, then away for two, but apparently this isn't likely to happen very often. Bah. My plans have been foiled again. I will definately be up for Damage on the 11th, but I may have to reconsider Nightmare. Any Nottingham people know of other regular weekend events I may be interested in?
I want to write another paragraph, but can't think of anything to say so banana hammock.

So yes, the weekend has been and gone, and it's taken me ages to catch up on all the entries written snce my last update. Now all I have to do is remember what I've been doing the past few days...
Ooo, yes, carpets. They're all done now, which is good. They've been done very well. You know, except on the stairs. Now, we never used to have a "normal" staircase, they were just steps, none of those back board thingies, until some handyman guy came round and put some in. Badly. Cause they did such a bad job, it means the carpets can't be put in properly, so since the carpet man is actually good at is job, said he won't do it unless the stairs are done right. Yey for him. The new backboard bits did look shoddy. The kitchen still isn't finished either. Edges need to be sealed and we're missing the extractor fan. Nothing major, and most of the clutter is out the way, so me and David have made a start on putting the rest of the house together. Just give it another month, and maybe then it'll be done.
In other news, Sky one are cunts. This morning I came downstairs to see what episode of Buffy was on at 12 (cause i'm keeping my eye out for the musical one, it's awesome) and it wasn't on at 12, it was on at 10am. How weird. The uber annoying thing is though that Angel is no longer on AT ALL. They had just shown the first 2/3 episodes of season 5 and poof, it's gone. GAY. Thankfully
dotwaffle has them all downloaded, so I got my fix. Screw you TV. I'll watch what I want, when I want. You don't own me!
So yes, what did I actually do? Not a lot is probably the answer. Friday I was gonna go out down the pub as it was Darren's birthday, but I had no money, so David would have to have paid for my drinks. Now this wasn't a problem (all i need is a bottle of wine) but getting there was. Walking is not an option (town is over 40 mins away and I have silly silly shoes) buses stop at 6/7pm (it was 9pm by this point) and neither of us had any cash on us to pay for a taxi. David suggested cycling, but I hate cycling, it's shite, but also it means my outfits are severly limited. You can't wear a mini-skirt, silly shoes or trousers with wide foot bottom bits. I have no outfit that doesn't require one of those things. Plus, it was still way too hot, and I'd only just had a shower. I refuse to get to a place, covered in sweat, especially just after a shower. David went on his own, so I had me some cider and cosmopolitans and had fun with my good old friend TV, except not much was on. I did somehow manage to stay up til gone 1am though before I crashed out.
Woke up saturday to that massive thunder storm everyone keeps going on about. I therefore don't need to talk about it. Crawled out of bed at 2pm and then did house stuff with david, until the evening when we went to Sarah's new flat. I was able to go, because her housemate wasn't it. Score. It's pretty a pretty cool place. It has all these signs up explaining it's now a family residence and could the "clients" please not disturb them! Ha ha, living in an ex-brothel has it's downsides, though Sarah's room is covered in giant mirrors, which is amazing. I'm all jealous. We watched Girl Next Door, which had quite a few "suspend all previous knowledge of everything" moments, but was at least entertaining. Boobs. Oh and we had pizza. Yummy.
Sunday went to Morrisons and cooked food. Oh and I played computer games. Also attempted to make friends with a frog, but failed.
Today, went to JR Personnel where they finally signed me up properly. Also they did a data entry test on me, and I scored well above average, yey!
Tomorrow - interview for lab tech position at astra zeneca, but working for a company called Covance. I want money, so hoepfully I will get this. It is only temporary, but some money is better than no money :)

Death

mood:

Death to everyone who thinks summer is good and that just because it's sunny we should all smile. Now, I like being warm, but if it surpassses 22 degrees centigrade, it goes for warm to hot. Sun is bad. It makes me die. Slowly and painfully. Bleurgh. I miss winter and rain and snow. Actually, I prefer the autumn, it's still warm enough to be scantily clad and not cold.
Anyway, talking about the weather is gay, so I shall move on. The crapets were ripped up yesterday, in most of the house (hallway, landing, bedroom 2 and bathroom) and a thick layer of crap was discovered underneath. Mainly in the hallway, so I swept. I felt like cinderella.
David dyed my hair the other day for me, so I no longer have rubbish roots. My hair is completely black. Black! Black like my soul. Yeah, I'm too hot to think of something to properly write about. My head hurts. I'd shower, but it's almost pointless.
The good news is that the new carpets are being put down now, so no more icky icky floors. w00t. The other good news is I have an interview thingy on Tuesday for one of the sciency jobs I applied for. I also told JR personnel to submit me for a sciency thingy, but apparently they haven't registered me properly. They want ID. Apparently I need a passport or birth certificate. Drivers' licence isn't good enough apparently (despite the fact I used my passport and birth certificate to get it) but i've lost both these items. Gay. Super gay. I do need to get me a new copy of my birth certificate though. Anyone know who I contact to get that? Anyone?
I'm also really in to Angel the TV series atm. I only ever liked Buffy, but I'm now hooked, especially cause Spike's in it now :)

Mega Weekend
Jul. 17th, 2006 | 10:46 am

sleepy
Most of Friday was spent not doing a great deal, followed by rushed packing, post-planning of outfits, as that took longer than previously thought. I had been planning to bring my red platform boots, but couldn't find new combination of matching clothes that reached my standards, then decided to wear pink, but quickly remembered I'd done my nails red already, so in the end went for pinstripes. Effort man. Anyway, off to the bus, then the train station for the 17.07 train. This time everything worked, and I made it in plenty of time. Once at the other end, got the taxi to Spike and Jon's place at the time I'd arranged to meet
yourapocalypse, only to find he wasn't in. Thankfully,
jonthebloody was.
Eventually eveyone had arrived, the man himself, Sharon,
manniqueen_ and Bongo, so we headed off to Speak Easy to meet everyone, then off to Wagamama's for food. Wasn't overly impressed with the main meal (I think I should have ordered something else) but then the pudding (chocolate cake) more than made up for it. Yummy. Shared it with
pai_kitagowa, so it had half the calories :). Back to the speakeasy, where even more people had showed up.
vampiric_monkey and Bongo then bought Spike the most revolting drink I'd ever seen. It was brown and lumpy and had at least 17 shots in and cost £24. I was impressed he actually drank it, though he was worse for wear after. We even managed to convince him to go to Damage! Bumped in to
shalllowthing in there again, only to be be almost floored by him! Still, it was fun. Lots of drunked dancing, followed by me and Claire trying to collect 24 pairs of boobs on camera, follwing
notgothdammit's challenge. I'm not sure if we managed it, but we got close if we didn't. Back to Spike's flat for a sexy party, but I sooned wussed out and crashed. Sleep is good.
Got up about 1 in the afternoon to J7 for breakfast. I got the last full English, yeah! It was good. Then pissed about for a bit, then off to the park for ice cream and watched boys throw frisbees badly, and drunked old people argue. It was fun. Chinese food, then getting ready to go off to Wendy House in Leeds.
greeba kinda drove me, Spike, Claire and Julie all the way there and back. Wendy House was pretty damn cool. It's awesome to think a union can put of such a specialist night and make it work. A few weird tracks were played, but it was a most enjoyable night. They even played Soilbleed twice, yey! Got back about half 4 and crashed out immediately.
Woke up late Sunday as was cooked a fried breakfast. Most yummy. Watched some Family Guy before Spike walked me to the bus stop. Got back home and showered, then helped David take a wadrobe upstairs so I could finally have somewhere to put my clothes that wasn't the floor.
Today phoned the agencies this morning and got one of them to apply to another lab tech job for me. The more I think about it, the more I want to have chemistry jobs now, I don't want to go in to admin, but then I'd rather do admin than no job. I want money :(

My ribs have started to heal up and hurt less now, so that's good news. I did also discver though that I cut the knuckle on my right middle finger at some point and bashed my right knee at some point over the weekend. I should probably not get so drunk next time.
Monday I didn't do a lot, but I did print off some CVs ready for tuesday.
Tuesday I went in to 3 agencies and signed up with them. They all sounded pretty positive about possible job prospects, though it is most likely that I will only be able to get temporary work for the time being just to rack up some experience. As long as I'm getting paid, that's fine. One agency also have a lot of science related clients, and they arranged a meeting for me today so they could talk to me about my options and stuff. It went really well, my education shows a very high interest in science (mainly chemistry) and I'm well qualified, though again, to gain experience, I may have to do temp stuff. The woman had now put my details forward for 2 lab tech jobs, so super yey!
Oh, and the job at the uni I applied for may still be there. I hadn't heard anything (closing date was 30th June) and figured I hadn't got an interview (thought fuck knows why, I totally meet all the requirements) but have discovered since they got so many applicants, they are still sifting through them all. So I'm quite positive about the whole job front right now. Yey!

Tomorrow I'm off for the weekend to Nottingham to help
yourapocalypse celebrate his burfday. Friday night is all kinda up in the air still, but saturday night it's the Wendy House in Leeds. More Yey!

Bruised Ribs

Re-reading that entry I wrote this morning, I'm ashamed of the number of spelling mistakes. I think they're nearly all typos though, so I blame this laptop. Laptop keyboards are weird. Yes, that's what it is. Not me.
Anyway, I've noticed that on both sides of my rib cage, about 2 inches below my bra, it really hurts, and has been getting increasingly painful since yesterday morning. Now because it's on both sides, I can't have walked in to anything, cause that's how I normally injure myself you see. Now I wasn't that drunk either, and I don't remember anyone tackling me or grabbing me, and neiher does anyone else. This means the only logical conclusion is that I wore my corset too tight. Whoops.
I did look good though.

Nightmare

calm
Friday night, despite the fact there was food in the fride to eat, I ordered a curry. I hoped it would cheer me up. It didn't. David went off to Glastonburrows and I had the TV for company. Friday night in all was a non-event.
Saturday, got up early to have a shower, as the water was being shut off s that the landlord and co could get on with doing the new sink. Had left over curry for lunch, then got my stuff together to head out to Nottingham for the evening. Left a bit later than I wanted, but arrived in plenty of time for the bus to the station, only it didn't turn up. In holidays there is supposed to be a bus every 20 mins, but when I got to the stop, it said the next one was in 24 minutes. This meant I missed the train I had intended to catch, but I knew there was another one, but if I waited for the next bus, I would have missed that train too. Phoned
dotwaffle to ask the number of the taxi company on campus. Got me a taxi to the station and safely on the train. Met
shallowthing at the other end of the train journey and whiskedme back to Shallow Towers. After a quick food trip, we watched a couple of DVDs, Drie, a hollywood attempt at a Hong Kong fil, which actually was pretty damn good and you could see where films like the Matrix and Rush Hour borrowed a few of their ideas. Also watched some film about a desert, erm, Desert Storm was it? Anyway, it was a Jean-Claude Van Damme, which according to IMDB is actually called Inferno. Weird. Anyway, that was pretty cool too. Quite funny actually. It even had Mr Miyagi in it.
Got ready for Nightmare and off we went. The walk wasn't that far but it was mainly up hill. I was glad I'd worn my New Rocks arther than porn shoes. The sugar bar was smaller than I'd imagined, but was the perfect size fr the number of people there and the sound quality and volume levels was spot on. I even recognised more songs than I expected, so was very happy dancing. Also, cybery music is easy to dance to even if you've never heard the song before, so I danced to loads more than I expected. I think it helped I was rather drunk. I don't think I cooked my curry properly early that day, so felt rather dodgy and skipped dinner. I had decided that I wasn't going to drink, but when I got there,
soldatengrab was telling me it was 2 for 1 cocktails. I saw they had cosmoes and instantly forgot I wasn't going to drink. Myko took my free cosmo explaining that you can't have 2 cocktails at once, else you look like an alchey and so we took it in turns to buy drinks all night. Cosmopolitans and sex on the beach all night it was. I also spoke to loads of people who'd I'd seen about buy never really got chance to talk to before, including
babee_bat,
indutrialdoll and
notgothdammit. Spent a lot of the night slagging my ex housemate off with his ex girlfriend, which was fun :) and talking to Sharon and
jonthebloody. I had a brillaint time is the long and short of it. Went to
squeeface's for the after party, which to be fair probably wasn't the best of ideas. Especially as once I'd got there I had definately crossed over from drunk to tired. Wussed out around 5am and made
shallowthing take me back to his. I like sleep.
Woke up Sunday to find there's no such things as trains from nottingham to loughborough, so had to get the bus instead. It's less than half the price of the train, although it does take twice as long. Still, it's a great budget option.
Extra thanks to Damian for putting up with me all weekend :)
Right, agencies today.

I want to update about yesterday, but I don't really know wat to say. David was allowed to sit with me at the service. I think my parents finally stopped being so ridiculous. It was just as well too. The second we got in to the pews, I burst in to tears. I'd forgotten to bring tissues. Thankfully David had thought ahead.
I was almost surprised that so many people had turned up. There were loads of family members I didn't even know. I remembered a couple from a family reunion that happened about 15 years ago, but only vaguely. My Dad didn't know who they were either, so it's ok. Loads of people kept mistaking my brother for my Dad, which was a bit weird.
I found out loads of stuff I didn't know about my Grandad though. He grew up in London, but was evacuated out in to the country during the war. The farm where he then lived is where he learned to use a rifle, shooting rabbits and stuff at the age of 13. He actually got really good at it. So good, that when he got called up, they made him a marksman. He served in Italy and Greece. He marred my Gran in 1949. I can't remember what they said he did for a living then, but malter he moved to Hitchin (my home town) and took over the coaling industry in that area. It then became the most profitable in the country for it's time, and he eventually bought his own company. That's one of my earliest memories of my Grandad. He took me for a ride in his coal truck. A huge HGV, it was so much fun, I really liked it. Not much later, he'd retired. I onl got one go, but it was brilliant.
My mum also apologised to David for being a bitch to me on the phone, and he told her I was pissed off no one told me anything until much later. Turns out my Mum had to pass on all the info cause my Dad wouldn't. Apparently she's been pissed off her whole life that he's emotionally void and never really bonded with either me or my brother. Oh and my Dad made out that my gran didn't want anything to do with my mum, so she's avoided seeing her for that reason. Turns out it was all my Dad. My gran and mum had a long chat about it, and my gran was saying it was a shame it had to take something like this to for them to see each other again.
It's weird to think I'll never see my Grandad again. I don't know if I'll ever get used to that.
I'm supposed to sign up to agencies today, I've been meaning to all week, but I'm really not up to it today. I feel sick and I'm exhausted. I might try and dye my hair myself today.
Oh yeah, me and David have moved in to
sofychinpie's old room finally. It's brilliant.

No, not there, in the bedroom you dirty bastard.
Unfortunately it's brown, but at least this one has an underlay. It's all nice and soft. Yes I'm still talking about the bedroom carpet. Slag.

Pandora

I'd forgotten how awesome and useful Pandora could be for new music. I've started a "cyber" channel, stole a few band names from the Nightmare setlists so as to get a feel for the sort of music that would be played. Unfortunately, Pandora doesn't really recognise the slightly more obscure European bands, but it knows all the American ones. Turns out I live Combichrist, Neuroticfish and Icon of Coil. As soon as I get a job, I'm buying an album or two! Still, this is all reassuring, as it suggests that even though I won't necessarily know the songs that are playing, I will enjoy the music, so yey.
I did also have a quick play with my metal channel. Now I realise this isn't everyone's definition of metal, but I've added nu-metal kinda stuff (like KoRn, Rammstein etc) and then the more metal type ones (sepultura, machine head, fear factory) and I'd used that channel loads, telling then what songs I did and didn't like, so they should have a pretty good idea I like churny guitars, male vocals, often shouty ones and heavy drums, but then, for some bizarre unexplained reason, they played me Girls Aloud. GIRLS ALOUD?!? I mean, what the fuck man? That's just weird. I can't even see the similarities at all.
